Have You Checked Your Temperature Lately?

Good morning! Thea had a fever yesterday and this morning. We’ve watched it go up and go down and then back up again.

This morning God used checking your temperature in a new way for me.

He was saying how it’s important to check your temperature spiritually. Is your temperature “normal” where you fit in with this world? If so, you’re cold. Is your temperature a low-grade fever where you are warm for Jesus - where it’s easy to talk to other believers about Jesus but you really aren’t diving into His Word daily or spending quality time with Him? If so you’re lukewarm. Is your temperature a high fever where you are on fire for God and the things of God? Are you a God chaser? Are you making your relationship with Him a priority? If so, you are hot and on fire.

It’s important that we take note of our “symptoms” in our life which is our spiritual fruit. What fruit does our life show? Are our symptoms or fruits showing the things of this world or the things of God?

““Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Therefore by their fruits you will know them.” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7‬:‭15‬-‭20‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

““I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. Because you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’—and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked— I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent. Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.” ‭‭Revelation‬ ‭3‬:‭15‬-‭21‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
